Want to know more about us?
We are a close-knit, small rural church from all kinds of backgrounds. We are a blend of farmers, factory workers, retired, law enforcement, and business professionals. In general we are not very fancy. Some folks like to wear “Sunday dress,” but most people dress on the casual side. We laugh a lot, and we truly care about each other.
WHAT TYPE OF CHURCH ARE WE?
We are technically an independent church. In 1939 we were started as a “baptist” church, but we have never been a part of a denomination. The most important thing you need to know about us as a "Baptist" church is that we believe that the Bible is the authority for our lives.

OUR BELIEFS

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our daily lives.

God

We believe in one eternal God Who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons—God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. He is absolutely holy, totally loving, and infinitely powerful.

People

We believe that all people are created in the image of God with intrinsic dignity and worth. God created people to enjoy a relationship with Himself, but this relationship has been broken because of our sin.

Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only One Who can restore our relationship with God. Through the miracle of the virgin birth, He came to Earth as the perfect God-man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose from the grave, proving His power over sin and death. In order to be saved from our sin, we must repent (turn from sin) and put our full trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior.

The Church

We believe that the church includes all those who have been restored to God through salvation. Jesus is the Head of the church, and we are His family here on Earth. The Church’s purpose is to bring glory to God and to serve Him and others, using the individual gifts and abilities He has supplied to each of us.

The Future

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to Earth in person as He promised. Our future destination of either Heaven or Hell is determined by our response to Him.
